Joan Ramon & Carmen started in 1997 planting grapes and making their first vintage in 1999 in Conca de Barbera. By 2003 they made the decision to begin farming biodynamically and in 2007 made the decision to eliminate the use of sulfites.
"A field blend of nearly century-old vines from the eponymous parcel. The blend is dominated by Parellada, which in my opinion, only really shows its stuff when it is old and low-yielding. The remaining blend is composed of white Grenache, white Sumoll and Macabeo. Macerated for a week, it was fermented and aged in an old amphora" - Josh Eubank (the Importer)
