"Sébastien Agelet is a winemaker in Paziols located in the Aude, 15 km from the sea between Leucate and Perpignan. Sébastien inherited this family estate and continues the work done before him by his great grandfather, his grandfather and his father. It was in 2012 that Sébastien decided to end his contract with the local cooperative cellar and create his own cuvées. He renamed his estate De Mena, which in Catalan means 'by nature'. Mena by itself is an expression that means 'without a doubt'. Sébastien feels it’s without a doubt by nature that he ended up working the vines and making wine. He also feels as though he is paying tribute to his family by making incredible wine with the land that he inherited." -Camo & Co. (the importer)

85% Macabeu, 15% Muscat. 100 year old Macabeu vines on south facing slopes, and 40 year old Muscat on north facing slopes. Both on stony limestone soil. Macabeu is direct press (white wine) on the lees in barrel, while the Muscat is on the skins for 10 days in barrel and fiberglass.
