Verdelho from Contra Costa County with a 30 day maceration. Aged for 7 months in barrel and 1 year in bottle. 

This wine takes on a savory, herby, dried brushy quality. Think of the dried mediterrean hillsides and the grasses and wild flowers that grow there. That's called 'garrigue' and it is what this wine is reminiscent of.
