This producer is a new discovery for me, but everything I've tasted from him has blown me away. Nothing against traditional Georgian wines, but it's always exciting to taste wines that feel in line with, but veer left at some point. His wines do this.

This Dzelshavi (that's the grape) is smokey on the nose, and on the palate it's got high acid, cranberry, currant, and a super light body. There's a tannic hit on the finish that doesn't overwhelm but let's you know this wine isn't just glou glou.
