"In his harvest, young vines in the flatter parts of Pffaenhein suffered most. The better ventilated older fruit at Grand Cru Steiner fared relatively well and makes up a disproportionate part of this very classical riesling, along with what could be salvaged at Bihl, which is closer to the Rhine and more exposed to humid air.
