"Joseph Jefferies is originally from the UK. He arrived in the Languedoc in 2003 to renovate a house, but as fate would have it, he met his now wife Amandine, and ended up staying. They live in a beautiful little village called Caux.
Joe is a self-taught winemaker, and farms 4.5 hectares of vines on volcanic basalt soils around Caux. He is working with Mediterranean varieties such as Carignan, Grenache, Cinsault, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and a rare grape called Terret. Everything is farmed organically.
He likes having such a small domaine, as it allows him to work in an uncompromising way, overseeing almost all of the work in the vineyard and cellar by himself.
